Nitya and Antyeshti Puja for Peaceful Soul Transition

These are sacred rituals performed during the initial days after a loved one’s passing. They help the departed soul transition peacefully to pitruloka (ancestral realm), ensuring moksha (liberation) and harmony for the family. Each ritual is designed to honor the soul, purify the family, and invoke blessings for spiritual well-being.

Day 1 to 9 - Nitya Vidhi

A series of daily pujas (rituals) performed for the departed soul, ensuring shanti (peace) and moksha (liberation). These rituals honor the soul's journey to the afterlife with shraddha (devotion) and punya (spiritual merit).

10th Day - Dharmodaka

A ritual snana (sacred bath) for family purification, followed by offerings to the soul. It signifies the release of worldly attachments, granting peace to the departed.

11th Day - Agno Ekoddhishta and preta Masika

This puja includes offerings to the departed (preta) soul and deities, establishing its journey toward pitruloka (ancestral realm). It helps clear pretatva (restless soul energy) and ensures harmony in the family.

12th Day - Sapindikarana

A crucial ritual merging the departed soul with the pitru gana (ancestral lineage). It symbolizes the soul’s acceptance into the ancestral world and brings blessings to the family.

13th Day - Shuddhi and Vaikuntha Samaradhane (Udaka Shanti)

This final purification ritual concludes the mourning period with udaka kriya (water oblations) and prayers for Vaikuntha (heavenly abode). It blesses the family with peace and auspiciousness.
